A thriving manufacturing company located in Decatur, Alabama is seeking a Factory Supervisor. This position offers a permanent position with comprehensive benefits and relocation assistance.
The Factory Supervisor will oversee the day-to-day operations of the factory by efficiently managing and coordinating workflow to ensure the successful execution of the production plan, meeting or exceeding safety, quality, delivery, and value objectives.
The main responsibilities include :
- Establishing a safety-first culture and maintaining a secure work environment by driving improvements in environmental, health, and safety (EHS) standards.
- Ensuring compliance with all environmental and 3rd party regulations and requirements.
- Implementing and enforcing standard work procedures for current manufacturing processes.
- Driving efficiency and implementing improvement initiatives that enhance customer value and increase gross profit margins through cost reduction, labor efficiency, and expense management.
- Developing operational plans aligned with corporate tactical and strategic goals, ensuring key performance indicators (KPIs) are met or exceeded.
- Collaborating with the purchasing / procurement function to achieve business objectives in cost management, quality, working capital, and on-time delivery.
- Mentoring and coaching operations team members, fostering their leadership and technical abilities.
- Promoting collaboration and cross-functional teamwork among internal and external stakeholders to resolve issues and improve operations.
The following qualifications are required for this position :
- Bachelor's degree
- Demonstrated leadership experience in a manufacturing environment
- Proven expertise in implementing lean or theory of constraint manufacturing principles
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to effectively manage and develop a team
- Dedication to continuous improvement and operational excellence
- Understanding of Safety Program concepts and principles
- Keen attention to detail
- Resourceful problem-solving abilities
- Previous experience leading plant growth projects including equipment upgrades, expansion plans, and capacity planning with SI&OP considerations
